The beauty of a popular Norwich park has been captured in the first set of postcards to be officially commissioned in more than 80 years.
Produced by the Friends of Eaton Park group, the cards feature photographs of the green space taken by the body's vice chair Stuart Beard.
Helen Mitchell, chair of the group said: "We’ve made the cards to celebrate our beautiful park and to raise funds to help pay for our programme of free events including summer band days, wildlife walks with experts and our Christmas concert."
Early postcards of the park are thought to date back to the 1920s and 1930s and can be found online.
Fellow Friends member Linda Tansley explained how the original postcards show the park in its infancy, just after buildings had been completed and new vegetation had started to grow.
"Compared to today the park looks bleak as the trees and hedges were yet to grow," she said.
The three new cards capture the park in different seasons and times of the day - the rotunda in summer, a hazy rotunda in dappled light and the boat pond frozen over in the depths of winter, with black-headed gulls skating on top.
They will be on sale at Earlham Road Post Office, Cringleford Stores in Intwood Road and Eaton Park Café.
"The cards are attractive, much like Eaton Park itself," Ms Tansley continued.
"It's lovely to celebrate the trees and the views that people get in the park which are quite amazing now.
"The park has changed remarkably over the last 80 years.
"It's great to share its beauty with people in Norwich - and further afield as these cards are sent."
The cards will also feature at the Postcards from the Park event for families this Easter, with Eaton Park Community Centre donating stamps for postcards to send to a relative or friend.
