Forget kebabs and cheesy chips as an Irish pub in Prince of Wales Road is shaking up the food offering in the city's clubbing district.
Seasoned publican Aidan Mahon has created a dining destination at Pogue Mahon's, which opened in December 2021.
It is set over three floors, including a cabaret bar in the basement, and he has just rebranded the upstairs to Eat at Pogues as a permanent dining space.
Following the success of the supper club launched last year, he is now offering tapas too.
Mr Mahon said: "We are keeping mains such as sausage and mash and Irish stew and dumplings, but are now doing tapas with an Irish twist.
"We launched it last week and have had a great reaction and loads of bookings."
The dishes include potato croquettes, Dublin Bay prawns, Guinness-soaked sausages and mussels with Irish Magners cider.
This menu is available from 12noon to 3pm and 5pm to 9pm Thursday to Saturday and the popular roasts are on offer 12noon to 6pm on Sundays.
