What do you think of as Norwich's 'signature' pub?
The Fat Cat in West End Street has been chosen as Norwich's favourite pub by Evening News readers.
Here are five more spots that people think of as the city's 'signature' pubs.
1. The Ribs of Beef
Where: 24 Wensum St, Norwich, NR3 1HY
When: Midday to 11pm Monday to Thursday, until midnight on Friday and Saturday and until 8pm Sunday
Overlooking the River Wensum from Fye Bridge, this pub is known for its riverside jetty that's packed in the summer months.
It also has street food vendors the Recipe Kitchen and La Repubblica Della Pizza throughout the week serving burgers and pizza.
2. Walnut Tree Shades
Where: Old Post Office Court, Norwich, NR2 1NG
When: Midday to midnight Monday to Wednesday, until 1am on Thursday and until 2am Friday and Saturday
This pub just off Gentleman's Walk has been included in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2023 and regularly hosts live music events.
The current owners have announced a new team will take over later this year as they take on the Brickmakers in Sprowston Road.
3. The Reindeer
Where: 10 Dereham Road, Norwich, NR2 4AY
When: 4pm to 11pm Monday and Thursday, midday to midnight Friday and Saturday and until 8pm Sunday
The Reindeer in Dereham Road is known for its regular live music events and Monday quiz.
On Sundays, Too Fat Roasties takes over the kitchen to serve roast dinners and treats from Kookie Ko are also on offer.
4. Adam and Eve
Where: 17 Bishopgate, Norwich, NR3 1RZ
When: Midday to 9pm Monday to Thursday, until 11pm Friday and Saturday and until 6pm Sunday
Norwich's oldest pub dates back to at least 1249, starting life as a brewhouse for the people building Norwich Cathedral.
There is a small outdoor seating area and a handful of tables inside to enjoy drinks and some food.
5. The Murderers
Where: 2-8 Timber Hill, Norwich, NR1 3LB
When: 11am to 1pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, until 10pm Wednesday and 10.30pm Sunday, 10.30am to 11pm Saturday
The pub which serves real ale and has a seating area in Timber Hill dates back to 1841 and was listed as a building from 1696.
Though it is known as the Murderers due to a murder in the 1800s, its trading name is the Gardeners Arms.
