A city boozer which recently announced its immediate but temporary closure will reopen next month.
The Edith Cavell, in Tombland, closed its doors at the end of March and announced its closure via its social media channels.

It reopened in May last year under Andrew McNeil, also of the York - which closed in January.
Until May 2021 it was the Prime steak restaurant, which relocated to St Giles Street.

On Tuesday, April 4, a notice of peaceable re-entry was posted in the window of the pub informing the public that Stonegate, on behalf of Unique Pub Properties Ltd, that the previous lease was at an end.
Since its closure, a sign has hung above the pub's signage calling for publicans eager to take over the premises to get in touch.
Stonegate confirmed today, April 5, that new tenants had been found for the boozer and, following an investment in the site, will reopen in May.
A spokeswoman for the Edith Cavell said: "The pub has recently welcomed new tenants who are looking forward to reopening the Edith Cavell to the community in May following an investment."
