An Asian food store in the city centre has been given a one-star food hygiene rating.
Asian Bazaar in Magdalen Street was visited by Norwich City Council inspectors last month, who gave it the second lowest possible score after finding a number of contraventions.
The report found dates were not labelled and sinks had no hot water, despite food handling procedures being "satisfactory".

It said bags of rice and onions were being stored on the floor, which was "dirty", as were light switches, door handles and sinks.
Three bags of redfish were found in the chest freezer without date labels on them and the inspector told the store to ensure all food stuff was correctly labelled.

While the business was described as low risk, the council told Asian Bazaar it needed to implement basic documentation for logging hygiene rules, reports and staff illnesses.
Asian Bazaar has been contacted for comment.
The store, at 24A Magdalen Street, replaced The Village Shop in 2019, which sold Eastern European and British food and drink, and prior to that was Spice Land.
