One small town, 7,000 stranded passengers - are you ready?

Norwich Theatre Royal has confirmed that Come From Away will play a four-day run in October next year, with tickets going on sale this June.

Come From Away dramatises the events following the 9/11 attacks when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander Island in Newfoundland.

The four-time Olivier Award-winning show will embark on a 23-theatre tour next year, beginning in March and concluding in January 2025.

The tour will start in Leicester and finish in Salford, making stops in England, Wales and Scotland.

The musical ran at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in 2018 before transferring to the Phoenix Theatre in London's West End.

The West End production closed this January after 1,048 performances.

Come From Away blends classical musical theatre styles and traditional Newfoundland orchestrations that include "kissing the cod" - a ritual typically performed at a pub by a Newfoundland resident.

It will be playing in Norwich from October 15 to 19 2024, and general tickets will be available to purchase this June 30.
