The team behind a popular farm shop has saved a city butcher's shop from closure.
Blofield Farm Shop has taken over Thorpe Butchers in Yarmouth Road with plans to invest.
Owner Marcus Pearcey said: "My dad was a butcher so when we heard it was closing I thought it was important to keep it open.
"High streets are better when they have independent shops and they play an integral part in their communities.
"You can know exactly where the products came from, unlike supermarkets, and it won't be way more expensive.
"It is a real honour to take over from Andy, who's been here many years. We hope to do him proud."
Thorpe Butcher's will be stocking meats from local farmers including parts of the range from Blofield Farm Shop alongside jams, honey and some seasonal produce.
