One of Norwich's longest-standing family butchers is closing down after years of trading due to tragic circumstances.
Peter's family butchers in Anglia Square are regarded as one of the longest-running independent shops in the area.
However, it will close down after a note was left on the shop's front shutters, announcing the death of owner Peter Thompson.

It said: "We regret to inform you that the owner of this shop - Peter Thompson - has sadly passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 2.
"We would like to thank everyone for your custom throughout the time Peter owned the shop".

They have invited anyone who knew Mr Thompson to attend the funeral service on Thursday, June 22 at 3pm.
There will also be a further celebration of Peter's life at Mattishall Sports and Social Club after the formal ceremony.
The butcher will close officially on Wednesday, June 21.
