Final plans for the layout of more than 200 homes are being brought forward by a housing developer before submitting its application to the council.
Crest Nicholson already has outline planning consent for 205 homes in Green Lane West in Rackheath - including 68 affordable properties - which was approved by Broadland District Council's planning committee in 2021.
The properties are proposed for a patch of land between Trinity Close and Mahoney Green which runs alongside the NDR dual carriageway.

In a leaflet sent out to neighbours in the area, the developer said: "The reserved matters will be submitted to the council in the new year and Crest Nicholson will be building the site and delivering the new homes.
"We will deliver a diverse range of affordable family homes and substantial open space that will be accessible to the whole community."

The village has already seen hundreds of new homes built since the completion of the NDR in 2018 and the site is close to the GT16 site which is earmarked for almost 4,000 new homes.
While not being part of the wider development the site will benefit from the wider delivery of infrastructure, with the scheme set to include land for two primary schools, one secondary school, orchards, allotments, employment land and sports facilities.
Controversy surrounded the consultation after Taylor Wimpey was pressured to run another consultation for the proposed homes, with people in the area saying not enough households in Rackheath and Salhouse received a letter from the company about consultation events.

Crest Nicholson also said it would be investing in play areas for the area, adding: "A third of the site will be dedicated to new public spaces.
"This will include neighbourhood-equipped play areas and local play areas."
The developer is hoping it can start construction at the site in spring 2024, subject to receiving planning permission.
