A man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene after man was taken to hospital following a hit and run on the city outskirts.
Police were called to Dereham Road, Costessey at 1.15pm today following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene but a lane has since reopened.
The driver, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested a short while later on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
One man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further assessment and care.
