Norwich is currently chillier than several traditional cold spots around the globe.
Temperatures in Norwich this lunchtime inched into the minuses at -1C (30F), with lows of -6C over the past week as The Beast from the East rolled in.
But according to Accuweather, King George Island in the north of Antarctica was a balmy 1-2C (34-36F) at midday.
Toronto's average temperature this March is 5C (41F) more than in Norwich, but today they are enjoying 1C (34F), two degrees warmer than Norwich.
Despite being more than 600 miles north of Norwich, Alesund in Norway is 1C and sunny today.
During waking hours Norwich is even colder than Seoul, South Korea, hosts of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Seoul experienced highs of 7C (45F) during the daytime.
