Jon McCracken is open about his next destination with his Norwich City contract entering its final stages.

The Scottish goalkeeper has spent the season away on loan at Dundee and Accrington Stanley before returning to Dens Park in January.

He is one of several Norwich players out of contract this summer and it's understood he is likely to be released by the Canaries. Several clubs in England and Scotland have already displayed interest in his services ahead of the new campaign.

McCracken has impressed during his spell with Dundee, who can still secure European qualification and face a crunch match with St Mirren this weekend after pushing themselves into the top six.

Asked about his future beyond the summer, the 23-year-old is open about his next destination but remains focused on the challenge ahead at Dundee.

"My contract is up at the end of the season and I haven’t given it too much thought about next season," McCracken said. "I'm just taking it game by game. It's a cliche, but it's true.

"There have been some talks. Hopefully that can get resolved quite soon on where my future is whether that's in Scotland or down in England. I'm quite open to what is out there."

Since joining Dundee on loan, City's keeper has conceded only nine goals in eight games, keeping three clean sheets and earning praise for his performances.

He joined Norwich from Hamilton back in 2016 and has never made a professional appearance for the club despite being named on the bench eight times during his spell in Norfolk.

Dan Barden has signed a new contract at the club last month whilst Archie Mair is also highly rated by those inside Colney.

McCracken refused to rule out a permanent return to Dundee and believes Tony Docherty is building something to stand the test of time there.

"Definitely. The club has gone places so it would be silly to rule that [a return to Dundee] out," McCracken told the Courier.

"It's a club that is on the up and definitely going places, so it would be good to be a part of that."
