The Cellar House in Eaton has been named as having the best bar team in East Anglia and the East Midlands.
It was selected for the accolade after judges visited the pub back in June as part of the Great British Pub Awards 2015.
And now the premises, owned by Victoria MacDonald, could now be crowned as pub of the year at an award ceremony next week.
Mrs MacDonald said: 'I am hugely proud of my team. This award reflects how hard they work and their commitment to the pub. We have a really hardworking, conscientious team here, both in the kitchen and on the bar. We all really feel a sense of responsibility to the pub and the customers who come here.
'My ultimate goal is to make the pub the heart of this local community.'
The premises was up against seven finalists from across the region in the competition.
Next Thursday Mrs MacDonald and her eight-man bar team will find out if the pub has been named as having the best bar staff in the UK, as well as being the overall Great British Pub of the year 2015.
She took over The Cellar House in April 2013, and although it has undergone a refurbishment, many features of the Grade II Listed building are still evident throughout the premises.
The pub is currently going through a public consultation to find out what locals think about it hosting Post Office services next year.
