A city pub that has become a "national landmark for real ale" has been named the best in the UK at a national awards.
The Fat Cat, in Norwich's West End Street, was crowned Best Pub in the Great British Food Awards 2022.
It is the second year running that the pub has received the accolade and landlord Colin Keatley says it's "all the more special" because the award is chosen by members of the public.
"It's always nice to win awards. Especially national ones," he said.
"Without our wonderful customers we wouldn't be here.
"Over the years the Fat Cat has become a bit of a national landmark for real ale, with people visiting from far and wide.
"We regularly get tourists from Europe as well as America and Canada who are ale enthusiasts.
"It's so nice to still be acknowledged for what we do after so many years."
The Fat Cat was first opened in 1991 by Mr Keatley and Marjie Keatley.
Last December the business celebrated 30 years and in this time it has been named CAMRA's (Campaign for Real Ale) National Pub of the Year twice and The Good Pub Guide's Beer Pub of the Year 11 times.
Recently, the Fat Cat was also named runner-up in the Observer Food Monthly Awards 2022 in the "Best Place to Drink" category.
