Work has begun to transform a historic pub near the city.
The Red Lion, in Drayton, closed its doors temporarily as a project to overhaul the business got under way today (November 10).
The works, which are set to be completed before Christmas, will include the redecoration of all the main bar and dining areas as well as refurbishment of the toilets with new flooring, mirrors and cubical doors.
New areas of fixed seating are also part of the plans which will have no impact on the heritage of the building and the historic front of the site.
An existing outbuilding which is "currently in a dangerous condition" will also be demolished while there will be new access provided for the garden with new windows and doors.
Broadland District Council approved a planning application for refurbishment at the Grade II listed pub which is owned by the Greene King in July.
The pub confirmed it would be closed until Friday, December 16, and that it was recruiting for new staff ahead of its relaunch.
