Stars from the city's panto are set to switch the Christmas tree lights on in a Norwich landmark later this week.

Former EastEnders actor Dayle Hudson and Amanda Henderson, who is best known for appearing as Robyn Miller in Casualty, will switch on the lights at The Forum on Thursday (December 1) at 10.30am.

The actors are performing in Norwich Theatre Royal's production of Jack and the Beanstalk this Christmas and will help spread festive cheer in full costume.

Norwich Evening News:

The event, which is free, will also feature carolling from the Norwich High School for Girls choir.

This year's tree was named Elliot's Christmas Tree after eight-year-old Elliot Frary who lives with a rare chromosome disorder.

Norwich Evening News:

The tree was donated by Taverham Nursery Centre for people to enjoy and to help raise money for chosen charity The Clare School.

Also taking place during The Forum's Christmas Tree Switch On event is Global Village Christmas Market, which gives visitors the chance to feel festive and browse unique gifts from around the world.
