Trendy city centre café Artel will be taken on by new owners after it was announced the business had been sold.
The London Street coffee shop's manager, Ed Le May, had been due to purchase the business.
However the sale fell through and the busy venture has now been sold to a mystery buyer.
Artel has become a hub for the city's thriving art community since its opening in 2018.
According to the business's listing on Everett Masson and Furby (EMF) a buyer with the "same ethos" as its current owner was being sought.
Following previous owner Kieran Harper's relocation the café was being led by Mr Le May and his staff.
He said: "I was going to buy the business but unfortunately it fell through.
"It was disappointing but it went back on the market and there were at least two other potential buyers."
Artel had been on the market for a leasehold price of £29,950.
A spokesman for business transfer agents, EMF, confirmed the sale to Mr Le May had fallen through but could not disclose who had purchased the shop.
The spokesman said: "The sale to Mr Le May did fall through, I cannot confirm who it has sold to but it has now found a new buyer."
New owners could introduce a "fuller evening service" according to agents, who believe it would increase turnover and "enhance the brand and business reputation".
The cosy drinking spot earned its popularity among creative city folk for its themed nights such as Drink and Draw, which allowed customers to doodle and drink on weekends.
Artel has also become a regular haunt for dog owners, with its pups welcome policy.
It is also known for its quirky interior with plants hanging from the ceiling in its upstairs seating area.
Its new owner will be getting "continental-style" pavement seating for 30, a first-floor indoor seating area and "modern kitchen".
The listing also said there was a coffee machine, the only one in the city serving Cuppa's Choice, four bean grinders, two Buffalo panini grills, an under-counter fridge and even a beer fridge.
