Drivers will face delays in Easton over the next fortnight due to a road closing to improve access to a new school.

Work will start today, December 5, and is expected to last until December 14.

This is for the construction of a new passing place as part of the development of Easton School, an SEN school that will open in January.

Bawburgh Road will be closed from the junction with the new SEN school to 120m northwards.

There will be a signed diversion in place taking drivers via Dereham Road, Marlingford Road and Hall Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works.

The scheme will cost approximately £28,000 and is being funded by the Department of Education.

It is being carried out by Norfolk County Council's Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
