Rock out to two "legendary" headlining acts at a festival returning to the city next summer.
Bananarama and the Happy Mondays have been confirmed as the headliners at Let's Rock Norwich.
The one-day event will be held at Earlham Park on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Best known for their hits including Venus, Cruel Summer and Love in the First Degree, Bananarama was formed in the early 80s by friends Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward.
Fahey left the group in 1988 and was replaced by Jacquie O'Sullivan until 1991, when the trio became a duo.
Madchester band Happy Mondays, with lead singer Shaun Ryder, formed in Salford in 1980 and are best known for their hits including Step On, Kinky Afro and Hallelujah.
Let's Rock Norwich will also be performances from Tony Hadley, The Farm, Heaven 17, Midge Ure, Neville Staple, Johnny Hates Jazz, Five Star, Toyah, T’Pau. Blancmange, Livin Joy, Neal X of Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Janet Kay, Junior and Hollywood Beyond.
After two pandemic-hit summers, 2022 saw the return of a full schedule of Let’s Rock festivals for the first time since 2019, drawing a combined audience of more than 150,000 across the 13 festival sites.
Let’s Rock is a family-friendly festival and features a Kids Kingdom area with an interactive circus, face painting, inflatables and more.
Tickets are available on the Let's Rock Norwich website
