Students from the University of East Anglia beat rivals from 100 other universities to be crowned champions of a national esports competition.
The 'UEA Bluejays' were victorious in the live final of the Amazon University Esports contest, which saw them compete with other teams on the popular video game Rocket League.
The triumph saw them named as the top team in the UK and Ireland and secured them qualification to another tournament, to take place next year, involving European universities.
Tao Martinez, head of university esports development at Confetti - which ran the contest - said: "We raised the bar to an extremely high level.
"We were able to provide fans with a unique experience in facilities that can be compared with professional leagues.
"Giving our players the best possible competition and visibility, something we achieved this month, has always been our goal."
Last year, Confetti launched the UK's first BSc esports production university degree.
