From Bangladeshi coffee to Canadian street food, there is so much coming to Norwich in the new year.

Here are seven new restaurants and businesses opening in 2023 to look forward to.

1. Wagamama

The popular Asian restaurant chain recently revealed the February opening date for its new Riverside store.

Taking over the old Chiquito site, the Wagamamas restaurant will have 118 covers inside and another 12 outside.

2. Funky Pickle

This new street food vendor is bringing a taste of Canada to East Anglia with poutine and Nanaimo bars.

Funky Pickle works alongside pubs and the team have already been approached by some in the area.

3. Mon Chai

The director of the award-winning Dhaba at Fifteen is launching a Bangladeshi coffee shop in St Benedicts Street.

The new café will be serving Kashmiri pink tea and masala tea or coffee as well as street food snacks. 

4. Mulligans

Booking is now open for this crazy golf spot which will open on Monday, February 20.

Based in Riverside, it will also include pool, electro-darts, shuffleboard and ping pong and there will be a bar serving food and drinks.

5. Moya

Work is under way in the run-up to the opening of the second branch of Moya.

The new site, in Brigg Street, will offer new types of bubble tea - a Taiwanese drink made with tea, milk juice and tapioca pearls.

6. Breitling

This luxury watchmaker is set to open its first store in the East of England in Chantry Place.

Breitling, which was founded in Switzerland in 1884, is known for its precision-made chronometers that can cost up to £55,000.

7. My Makan

This new Malaysian restaurant will open above the Evan Cycles shop in Westlegate early next year.

The eatery is planning a big launch party with a visit from a Malaysian consulate official to help open its doors.
