A Norfolk village could get half a dozen new homes.
Great Plumstead, on the outskirts of Norwich, looks set to get six new bungalows, under plans submitted to Broadland District Council.
The homes would be built on just over an acre of land off Hare Road, close to the four-way junction where it meets Middle, Low and Church Roads.
A previous plan for 10 single-storey homes on the site was rejected in October 2020.
In response to the previous refusal, the developer is intending to widen Hare Road, with a new footpath along the north-eastern side which will allow an oak tree to be retained.
A planning statement said: “The site is considered to be of low ecological value and additional native species are to be planted which will increase the biodiversity value of the site.
“The site is not at risk of flooding and would not increase the risk of flooding elsewhere.
"Sustainable drainage measures will be incorporated, including the provision of a permeable parking area and soakaways for the dwelling and garage.”
