A man who was found guilty of a catalogue of child cruelty and a pair who were found with a total of 755 cannabis plants were among the criminals put behind bars last month.
Here are some of those who were jailed in December.
Keith Gilding, 72
In the late 1980s to 1990, Keith Gilding, of Dale Road, Dereham, abused two children, committing a total of 14 offences.
Gilding was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault, two counts of rape, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 13 and two further serious sexual acts.
He was sentenced to 18 years in prison at Norwich Crown Court with one year to be served on license.
Jonathan Clarke, 32
Jonathan Clarke's offences, carried out between 2010 and 2022, included the making of indecent images, sexual communications with a child, inciting children to engage in sexual acts, voyeurism and blackmail.
Working as a supervisor at Thorpe St Andrew High School, Clarke created a false profile, presenting himself as two teenage boys to chat with his victims and engage them in sexual activity.
Clarke admitted 54 charges spanning more than a decade.
There were a total of 159 victims, all under 16.
Tyler Brown, 24
Tyler Brown stormed into his partner's bedroom in the early hours of the morning and strangled her after the couple had earlier had a row about his cocaine use.
Brown, of Little Dunham, near Swaffham, called her at about 1am on September 25 and told her he could prove he had not taken drugs.
He then went round and grabbed the victim with his "hands around her throat".
He was jailed for two and a half years following non-fatal strangulation being made a specific offence as part of the government’s Domestic Abuse Act.
Tom Jacklin, 23
Tom Jacklin, of Churchill Road, Gorefield, near Wisbech, was put behind bars for seven years at Norwich Crown Court after being found guilty of controlling and coercive behaviour, assault by penetration and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Jacklin, who had pleaded guilty to all counts, was also subject to a restraining order and ordered to pay £170.
Jacklin would be physically and emotionally abusive to his victim, often becoming violent by scratching, biting and pulling hair.
Michael Egan, 77
Michael Egan, from Great Yarmouth, was jailed for four years for a catalogue of child cruelty.
He told the victim her mother didn’t love her, forced her to take cold showers and threw cold water over her when she was in bed.
He also kicked her repeatedly in the ribs and burnt her with a lit cigarette.

Charley Lance, 23
Charley Lance was jailed for 30 months following being spotted "doing doughnuts" in the middle of the crossroads on the A146 before then "joining the A47 in the wrong direction".
King's Lynn Crown Court heard Lance - formerly of no fixed abode but whose address held by the court is Lark Drive, Attleborough - was travelling at about 60mph as he travelled the wrong way down the A47.
Dushyant Patel, 67
Patel, a London pharmacist with more than 40 years experience, was jailed for 18 months for supplying class C drugs to a city drug user for months in 2020.
Police identified Patel as a suspect four months after the death of Norwich drug user, Alisha Siddiqi.
He was jailed at Norwich Crown Court after a trial in August when he was found guilty of two counts of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug of class C to another between March and August 2020.
The court heard Patel had not been charged with any offences in relation to her death.
Joe Creed, 36
Creed was jailed for 12 weeks for stealing more than £1,350 worth of alcohol in the space of just a few weeks.
Before being taken down by prison guards, Creed - formerly of Godric Place, Norwich -told magistrates he was in a vicious cycle and could not access the help he needed meaning he "would be seeing them (magistrates) again" after he was released.
Callum Francis, 29
Francis put his hands around his partner's throat before dragging her around by her hair as he threatened to put her "six feet under".
He "put his hands around her throat" and said, "I will do the job and put you six feet under".
Francis, of Newbegin Road, Norwich, was sentenced to a total of 22 weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay £100 compensation after he admitted assault by beating and criminal damage.
