A diehard Norwich City fan has won his place as the team's drummer at home games - even attracting the attention of some players.
Harley Gee, who lives in Kett's Hill with his parents and brother John, vowed to get his opportunity as the Canaries' drummer after a mystery man was spotted trying to drum up support back in September 2022.
Harley's dad, Alan Gee, said the 24-year-old was gutted to not have been asked to play at City's home games after successfully helping to create a raucous atmosphere at away matches.
But now Harley is setting the beat at Carrow Road too, to the delight of his family and fans.
"The club invited him and trialled it at the 1-1 Reading game on December 30 and the atmosphere picked up straight away - it went through the roof," said his dad.
"He also drummed at the loss to Watford on January 2, but there didn't seem to be the same negativity as in the previous games [after Dean Smith's dismissal as head coach].
"The crowd really seemed to get behind him - it was brilliant."
Harley is part of City Elite, one of the fan groups which has been trying to improve the atmosphere at matches in recent seasons.
Alan continued: "He's received so much appreciation and love from the fans as well after the games.
"People have stopped to congratulate him on the job he's been doing and it seems to have brought a nice positive vibe to the games.
"Because Harley is still studying at university in Southampton he can't attend every game, but he's very happy to play at more home games."
The passionate fan's skills on the drum have also caught the attention of City players, with Todd Cantwell, Gabriel Sara and Sam McCallum among those pictured with Harley and his instrument.
His dad believes the new partnership with the club is a "step in the right direction".
He added: "The fact the team got involved and was helping Harley get in - it's quite the turnaround.
"Everything has been nicely organised from everyone involved - giving him a position in the top end of the lower Barclay stand to play from.
"It shows they're listening to fans when it comes to engagement at the games and ways to boost the atmosphere."
