An award-winning Norwich pub and brewery is starting the new year with a blast from the past by serving a historic beer.
Mild and Bitter, locally referred to as Twos, was a staple of any Norfolk alehouse in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and it combined the two beer styles in the same glass.
Throughout January and February 2023, this forgotten beer is making a long overdue comeback at The Fat Cat Pub in West End Street for just £3 a pint.
The Fat Cat Brewery has just launched its new seasonal beer Meow Mild, which will be paired with the Fat Cat Norwich Bitter.
Colin Keatley, who runs the CAMRA award-winning pub and brewery with his son Will, said: "I’ve always felt it is important to remember the beer styles of days gone by.
"It is a way of allowing the drinkers of today to try something that their great grandparents might have enjoyed all those years ago."
If you really want to go retro you can ask for it to be served in a dimple mug.
