Drivers are facing delays as they head into the city due to water works on a busy road.
Part of North Walsham Road is closed at Beeston Garden Centre, just by the NDR roundabout.
Anglian Water is installing a new water connection in the area and the road will be closed until January 13.
Drivers are being diverted up the NDR, down Wroxham Road, past Sprowston Manor and Blue Boar Tesco.
One commuter, who uses the road every day to get to Norwich from North Walsham, said: "It was a nightmare. It was much slower than usual on my route to work this morning.
"Cars were inching along the North Walsham Road. When I got to the roundabout, things sped up, but I had to go all the way round the NDR to get into the city.
"On my home last night, I was stuck in traffic for about 40 minutes."
