A city centre vape shop has confirmed it is not going to be closing despite signs from letting agents appearing in its windows.

Ye Olde Vape Shoppe confirmed the space above them, in Castle Meadow, is going to be let out to another business and that they're not closing its own doors anytime soon.

Ashraf Mohammad, manager of Ye Olde Vape Shoppe, said: "We've decided to let out the space above us to any businesses who might need it.

"We're not closing – we'll still be open to the public."

The 659sqft space above the vape shop used to be home to La Cala Beauty and Tanning, which closed in April last year after it was deemed unsuitable to keep the shop open amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first-floor unit is being marketed by Bracondale-based Ian Thorburn Commercial, with a separate access to the right of the vape shop.
