Be it a healthy salad or a fully-loaded sandwich, Norwich is not short of great lunch spots.
We asked our readers where are their favourite places in the city to have a midday meal.

1. Logans Sandwich Bar

Nestled in the Norwich Lanes, Logans Sandwich Bar has long been a favourite for people hankering for a sandwich in the city.
It has a range of different fillings and vegetarians and vegans are well catered for.
As well as wraps, sandwiches and baguettes, you can also enjoy salads, jacket potatoes and lots of tasty baked treats.
2.Waffle House
Where: 39 St Giles Street, Norwich, NR2 1JN
Waffle House in St Giles Street is a Norwich institution and has been running since 1978.
Serving sweet and savoury dishes, the menu is often changing with new and exciting combinations of flavours, all served on top of its signature waffles.
It continues to attract crowds from far and wide with dishes ranging from bang-bang chicken to a Bakewell-style waffle.
3. Moorish Falafel Bar
Where: 17 Lower Goat Lane, Norwich NR2 1EL
Moorish Falafel Bar is a great place to go if you are looking to fill your stomach with some fresh and satisfying food.
It went fully vegan in 2020 and has expanded from its core falafel wrap meals to also serve burgers and more.
It also has a second site in the NR2 area in Park Lane.
4. Urban Lounge
Where: 31 Magdalen Road, Norwich, NR3 4LQ
Urban Lounge is an independent cafe in NR3 serving up lots of delicious dishes all freshly prepared in-house.
Brunch is a real highlight here, which has become the cafe's main focus for the foreseeable future after it put a pause on its evening pizza service.
All their meals look bright and enticing and they also make tasty cocktails.
5. Cafe 33
Where: 31-33 Exchange St, Norwich NR2 1DP
Cafe 33 joined Norwich's food scene in 2006 and has since become a favourite breakfast spot for city folk looking for a hearty meal to start the day.
If you want to get a table at the weekend, it would be best to get there early as queues quickly form with people eager to fill their stomachs.
6. Norwich Market
Where: Market Place, Norwich, NR2 1ND
Norwich Market was chosen the most by our readers as their favourite place for lunch.
A visit to the award-winning market can transport you to all four corners of the world through the range of cuisines on offer, be it Thailand, The Caribbean or India.
Of course, you can also find British staples such as fish and chips, hearty baps and sausage rolls.
7. Zak's
Where: Multiple locations including Barrack Street, Gurney Road and Poringland
One of the longest-running restaurants in Norwich, many people in the city will have memories of visiting for a tasty burger and fries or a milkshake.
The growing business can be found at a number of outlets, including at Mousehold Heath, nearby Poringland and along the River Wensum.
8. Crusty Corner Bakery
Where: 38 Bell Road, Norwich, NR3 4RA
If you are looking for comfort then Crusty Croner Bakery is the place to go as its hearty-filled sandwiches, pastries and cakes are sure to satisfy your lunchtime craving.
The family-run business has been established in NR3 for a number of years and it also supplies other eateries with its baked goods.
9. The Kimchi
Where: 4A Brigg Street, Norwich, NR2 1QN
If you are looking for a lunchtime meal full of flavour and spice then The Kimchi would be a great place to head to.
Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves a range of traditional Korean dishes all made fresh to order.
