The owner of an award-winning pizza restaurant on the north Norfolk coast is spicing things up in 2023 with a new frozen range.
Eric's Pizza is bringing the taste of its Thornham restaurant, which is based inside a yurt at Drove Orchards, to homes across the county.
There are three pizzas in the new range, including a classic Margherita, with Fior di latte, Italian tomatoes, olive oil and fresh basil.
The other two are Garlic, with a sweet sticky jam of brown sugared shallots cooked with balsamic, garlic, herbs and Fior di latte, and Napoli Salami, which includes Eric’s own spiced honey recipe.
Chef Eric Snaith, who is also behind Eric's Fish and Chips and Titchwell Manor, launched Eric's Pizza in Thornham during the summer of 2020 and it won gold at the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association (PAPA) Awards 2021.
In late 2022, he also opened a kitchen at the new Norwich food hall Yalm in the Royal Arcade.
He has worked with Eric's Pizza head chef Fred Bambridge to develop the frozen pizzas, with plans to sell raw doughballs in the future.
Mr Snaith said: "We trialled a few frozen pizzas at local outlets and from our restaurant last year and were delighted with the feedback so have expanded the range and found new stockists."
The new frozen pizzas are available at the General Store in Ringstead, Heath Farm Shop in Great Massingham, Landymore's in Downham Market, Humble Pie in Burnham Market, Drove Orchard Farm Shop, Brancaster Stores, Deepdale Stores in Burnham Deepdale and Jarrold in Norwich.
