From breakfast tacos to patatas bravas, a local chef is set to spice things up at a historic pub in the heart of Norwich.
Hobb Boss Catering starts its kitchen residency at the Louis Marchesi pub in Tombland this Saturday, January 28 and it is run by George Cobb, 29.
He set up his own business last summer after working for many years in catering on film and TV sets, including The Crown and Downton Abbey.
Going solo has proved a successful move, with regular supper clubs and roast dinner pop-ups at Connaught Kitchen in NR2, which will still continue.
The core of the menu is street food-style small plates, with options such as paella, patatas bravas, pork shoulder croquettes and macaroni cheese balls, with breakfasts tacos topped with a fried egg on offer too.
There will also be larger plates on the specials board, which will change regularly and could include seabass or short beef rib with sides.
Mr Cobb said: "I like to think of the menu as a la carte street food, so everything is locally sourced and made fresh to the highest standard but served in a street food style.
"I want it to be somewhere for people to have a hearty meal for an affordable price."
The first pop-up will be this Saturday from 12.30pm until 9pm and then weekly, with details to be confirmed on social media, and he hopes to be there daily in the summer.
Also planned for the warmer months is a low and slow barbecue in the garden.
He added: "My business has definitely taken off a lot quicker than I anticipated and people really seem to like my food and the effort I put in.
"The Louis Marchesi landlady Lisa is happy as there hasn't been food there since November and they do a lot of live music, so this works for her in bringing people in and for me opening a kitchen without the big overheads.
"If you are looking for somewhere where you won't leave hungry then come and visit."
