Thousands of runners will be on their marks next week as the starting gun is fired for entries to this summer's Run Norwich.
Returning to its traditional summer slot for 2023, after last year's event was postponed until October due to blistering heat, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s 10km race will take place on Sunday, July 16.
Competition for places is expected to be fierce once again for what will be the seventh iteration of the race, with a total of 8,500 entries up for grabs.
A 24-hour charity priority window for those who wish to run on behalf of organisers will open at 9am on Tuesday, February 14.
General entry will follow hot on the heels of the charity window - opening at 9am on Wednesday, February 15.
Those who nab a spot in the popular race might catch a glimpse of the lead car, donated by Lotus Cars, the official vehicle sponsor for 2023 and 2024.
Matt Windle, managing director at Lotus Cars and a two-time participant in the race, said: "We're delighted to be involved as the official vehicle sponsor both for this year and next.
"Run Norwich is a great event – as I can personally testify – and I’ll be taking part again in July."
Anglian Home Improvements has also been revealed as the main sponsor for the run.
Rachael Munby, group marketing director at Anglian Home Improvements, said: "We're delighted to be headline sponsors for Run Norwich.
"As a company whose heritage began in Norwich, being able to support our community and bringing people together is something we are incredibly proud of."
The race route remains unchanged, starting from outside Norwich Theatre Royal and taking runners through the scenic city centre - passing by landmarks such as Norwich Castle, Norwich Cathedral, and Carrow Road.
