Just when you thought pizza couldn't get any batter, a Norwich fish and chip shop is offering a deep-fried version.
Chish and Fips in Angel Road, which won a coveted Gold Seal at the Good Food Awards 2023, serves up battered cheese and tomato pizzas for £2.50.
It is the perfect time to enjoy the delicacy with World Pizza Day just around the corner on Thursday, February 9.
Local food blogger and influencer The Fry Up Inspector is a big fan of the dish.

He said: "As you bite through the crispy batter coating the cheese and tomato oozes out, the pizza flavours work well with the batter and the contrast in textures is wonderful.
"Definitely something you should try if you haven’t tried one before, I loved it!"
Indy Singh, manager, said: "We seal the pizza with rice flour and then batter it which keeps it all together.
"Our batter is a secret recipe that has been used at Chish and Fips for more than 40 years.”
