Matt Smith and Greg James may be some of the famous faces who have called the University of East Anglia home but there is now a new star who is causing quite a stir.
People across campus have been trying to catch of glimpse of the UEA’s latest celebrity, with paparazzi-style photos appearing on social media.
His name is Sylvester and a Facebook group celebrating the ginger moggy has amassed more than 2,400 members.
The adventurous feline is hard to miss as he is missing most of his tail and students are asked to take pictures whenever they see him so the owners, who live near the Student Village, know where he is.
So far, the cat has been seen all over the large campus including at the Thomas Paine and Elizabeth Fry buildings, the Julian Study Centre, the library and the Sportspark.
His owners ask that people don't feed him or pick him up so that he returns to their home.
Sylvester, who is microchipped and neutered, is apparently very easily distracted by rabbits and squirrels and can’t seem to keep away from the university campus.
