Bogus builders have been going door-to-door on the outskirts of Norwich quoting £4,000 for minor roof repairs.
The scammers have been turning up on doorsteps in Taverham telling folk they have problems with their roofing and offering to fix them.
First reported on January 18, the scam sees men telling people they were just passing and "could see the roof needed repairing".
Some incidents have seen cold callers climb onto the top of homes before owners could stop them.
According to reports, when these scammers return to the ground they then tell people work will cost £4,000.
So far it is not thought the fraudsters have been successful.
Following the scam attempts, Norfolk Trading Standards told those in the area to never deal with cold callers, never pay for work before it is completed and to attempt to stop them from accessing the roof of their homes.
Scammers should be reported via the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or Norfolk police on 101.
If someone is being intimidated or is concerned for vulnerable neighbours they should call 999.
