Hundreds of people have flocked to the city to learn about the wonders of science following the launch of the annual Norwich Science Festival.
An action-packed programme of events kicked off on Saturday (February 11) at The Forum and other venues across the city.
From talks on forensic psychology to the wonders of the cosmos, there are lots of activities and demonstrations for all the family.
Claire Mutimer, the festival producer, said: "We had a fantastic turnout with lots of people coming along and getting involved and engaging with the wonders of science.
"Some of the events have been packed with visitors which is brilliant to see.
"The feedback has been great with many people commenting on how good value it is with some not spending a penny."
Among the highlights over the week include a talk by one of the leading forensic psychiatrists in the country on Tuesday, which will see Dr Gwen Adshead delve into the psyche of criminals at the Blake Studio at Norwich School.
At the same venue on Thursday, people will have the chance to take the ultimate tour of the history and science of our quest to explore the cosmos through a talk led by a professor of planetary science, Suzie Imber, and TV presenter Dallas Campbell.
While most of the action is taking place in Norwich, there are also satellite events elsewhere in Norfolk, at East Norfolk College in Gorleston and at Gresham's School in Holt.
Norwich Science Festival is now in its eighth year, having started in 2016 to create a celebration of the groundbreaking scientific research from Norwich.
The event runs until Saturday, February 18 and tickets for the event and more information can be found at norwichsciencefestival.co.uk.
