A Norwich restaurant has been nominated for the Best Vegetarian Restaurant category at the inaugural Nation's Curry Awards.
Namaste Village, in Queens Road, is a finalist in the category at the new awards ceremony, which celebrates the top curry professionals and businesses in the UK.
Namaste's business director, Ketan Vaghasiya, said: "We are grateful for this recognition. This shortlisting is a recognition of our efforts, a reminder that we should continue the path that we have chosen and one that has helped us bring happiness to people through food."
Mr Vaghasiya also spoke of the "challenging times for the industry" and "the nation at large" and that it is important to support each other.
He added: "We'd like to take this as an opportunity to remind people about our 'Dosa On The Wall' charity which offers free meals to anyone in need."
The black-tie awards ceremony will be held in Manchester on Monday, February 20.
A spokesman for the event said: "The Nation’s Curry Awards will be a brilliant night of fun, food and celebration."
