A popular paddleboarding company has announced its plans for spring, partnering with two city businesses as well as launching new exercise classes.
Norwich Paddleboarding Hire will be teaming up with Norwich VR Escape Room and Gibraltar Gardens to offer paddlers an experience day.
The firm is also launching stand-up paddleboard fitness sessions.
The company continues to run from Gibraltar Gardens and hopes to "transform the location" after the pub was taken over by new owners last month.
Owner of Norwich Paddleboard Hire, Adam Tiffany, said: "From the very beginning we always felt the greatest asset the people of Norfolk have is underutilised.
"Getting our customers to enjoy the Norfolk Broads, which for the people of Norwich is right on their doorstep, was at the heart of our business and we continue to work closely with the Broads Authority to allow safe usage of the water.
"We also have a second giant paddleboard to our fleet, allowing two groups of six to race each other down the River Wensum."
The experience day, launching on March 31, offers a paddleboarding trip down the River Wensum, a visit to Norwich VR Escape in Oak Street, where visitors will receive 10pc off, before returning to the Gibraltar Gardens in Heigham Street.
In April, the fitness classes launch and will help people build resistance and strength through exercises on their new 360-degree inflatable platform on the water.
Running through the heart of Norwich, filled with wildlife and tranquillity, the River Wensum has become a popular destination for paddleboarders and was chosen as one of the top 10 places to have fun on the water by Guardian readers.
