Pupils at an outer city primary school have secured brand-new play equipment for their peers to enjoy.

Ten-year-old pupil Alice requested more play equipment for her school, Rackheath Primary.

Following her plea, housing developer Taylor Wimpey's East Anglian branch donated monkey bars which were installed for free by playground equipment supplier Miracle Design and Play.

Treena Barrett, of Friends Rackheath Primary School, said: "We are so thrilled to see the installation of these monkey bars for the school.

"Alice and her peers are so excited to utilise the equipment to the fullest, so we are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey and Miracle Play for their kind donation.

"At Rackheath Primary School we believe outdoor play is vital for children’s physical and mental health, so this is a fantastic addition to the school grounds."

Caroline Carter, sales and marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, added: "We are always looking for ways to support the communities around our developments and we are so thrilled to have been able to help Rackheath Primary School by expanding their outdoor play area."
