A city centre business is having another crack at the fine dining market by re-opening its restaurant area under new management.
The Tamarind Tree, in All Saints Green, shut its restaurant section in August last year after it struggled to bring in customers after the Covid-19 pandemic and the ever-rising cost of living crisis.
However, the venue, which includes a spa upstairs, is looking to attract foodies back to its eatery as they open up its dishes to the masses.
Martin Sriboonlue, who oversees the running of the bistro, said: "It's basically a restart for us - opening but under new kitchen management.
"We offer an extensive menu that showcases the flavours of Thai cuisine.
"From traditional dishes such as Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup and Massaman Curry to lesser-known delights such as Som Tum - there's something to suit every palate.
"It's a similar menu to before but we're confident that the taste of our dishes, along with our improved service, will get people in and hopefully keep them coming back.

"We've taste-tested everything on our menu as we want to make sure that we don't serve anything we wouldn't eat ourselves."
In addition to its food, Tara Thai Bistro also boasts a varied drink selection of beers, cocktails and smoothies to complement the diner's meals.

Peerada Johnson, owner of the Tamarind Spa and Bistro, added: "We weren't doing much with the space so we decided to re-open with new management.
"We've had a good start to re-opening.
"We struggled when the path outside had roadworks going on and busses coming through all the time, but now that's gone fingers crossed we can get more people in."
Tara Thai Bistro is open from between midday and 6.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and between midday and 10pm from Wednesday to Saturday.
