Another pub in the Norwich area is closing.
The King's Head in Hethersett has announced that today (February 28) will be its last day of trading.
Jill Tickle, owner of pub management firm Tickle's Taverns which took over the establishment in June 2022, told this paper the "welcome and support" of the community has been "astounding" as she announced the "hard goodbye".
She said: "I fought so hard to keep us open for the team and customers but the hospitality industry at the moment is crippled and we can't make ends meet."
Ms Tickle, who also recently announced the closure of the Green Dragon in Wymondham, cited the cost of living, energy prices and wage costs as some of the reasons behind the closure.
"I pride myself in that I've left this pub in so much better position than when I took it on," she added.
"I want to thank Stonegate for their investment in the improvements and for working with me, but there isn't enough margin to make this work."
It follows the recent closures of Frank's Bar and Oliver's Bar and fellow Stonegate pub The York Tavern's kitchen closure as a search for new management started.
