The Evening News is throwing its weight behind hopes to save Norwich's NHS walk-in centre from closure.
Fears of the Rouen Road medical centre's closure started when a consultation was launched in January asking patients if they felt its contract, which will run out in March 2024, should be renewed.
Over the last month, this newspaper has pressed the case for keeping the service alive.
As it stands One Norwich Practices, which runs the surgery, allows those in need of health care to access it whether they are signed up with a GP surgery or not.
It comes after the centre came to the rescue of Paul Falco, 54, when he was unable to get vital asthma pumps from his GP.
Norwich North Conservative MP, Chloe Smith has also called for the medical practice to remain open, describing it as "popular and helpful".
Peter Franzen OBE, who worked as a health provider non-executive director for 10 years has also opposed its closure saying: "Where will patients get help if the walk-in centre is not operating?"
The consultation can be accessed here where it can be completed online, via post or email.
