It is true you can eat around the world in Norwich and a new city restaurant will put another pin on the map.

My Makan is a Malaysian restaurant that is opening above Evans Cycles in Westlegate, which will serve authentic cuisine.

The menu is available to view online now and includes satay, noodles dishes and curries, with a range of sides and desserts.

The city restaurant is going in the former home of Paula Gundry Interiors, which relocated to Unthank Road in 2021.

My Makan launches in Norwich on Saturday, March 4 and is taking bookings or walk-ins, with the opening hours on the first weekend from 5pm until 10pm. 

The general opening hours are Monday to Friday 12noon to 10pm and weekends 8am to 10pm.

It is the second My Makan to open in the UK, with another branch launched recently in Leeds. 

The directors of the restaurant are Mathew Wilcox, Imran Abidin and Turki Bin Afif, who met while working in food manufacturing in the Middle East.
