Further details have been revealed about a new restaurant planned to open in the city.
A new Turkish eatery is planned to open in the former home of Prezzo in Tombland after a restaurateur with more than 20 years of experience applied to Norwich City Council.
Cevdet Mutlu is hoping to open a branch of his Turkuaz chain, which already has restaurants in London, Milton Keynes and Winchester.
Now the chain has applied for an alcohol licence for 2 and 3A Tombland and plans to open from 7am to 1am from Sunday to Wednesday and 7am to 2am from Thursday to Saturday.
The restaurant has also applied to show films and play recorded music at the venue, which has been vacant since 2021.
Its alcohol licence application is for between 9am and midnight from Monday to Sunday.
Tombland, which was redeveloped in 2021, has become a growing destination for foodies, with even Hollywood A-lister John Travolta visiting.
Restaurants in the area include Thai cuisine from Giggling Squid, Italian dishes at Zizzi, Japanese food at Shiki and vegan options at Erpingham House.
