City folk looking for a snip can now enjoy a pint as they wait thanks to a quirky new addition to a Norwich salon.

Bosses at Clockwork Barbers in St Gregorys Alley have always wanted a full bar in their hairdressers but now the idea is a reality after their licence was granted by Norwich City Council.

The bar has been in place since February last year along with a poker table, but now the beer can finally flow.

Owner, Fraizer Howman, 41, said he wanted to give his customers the opportunity to have something they could not get elsewhere.

Mr Howman said: "We finally have it working, we've always wanted this.

"We've now got a proper bar in the shop and it allows us to offer something with a twist.

"We're not forcing anyone to drink while having a haircut, but they've got the choice.

"It's a nice perk if you're coming in with mates you can have your haircut while they wait for you at the bar."

He is hoping to start hosting stag parties in the salon along with other events and will now be encouraging group bookings so people can drink with their mates while they wait.
