Part of a Norwich theatre that is in a poor state of repair will be transformed into a vibrant community space thanks to a new partnership.
The Maddermarket Theatre will soon share a home with fellow Norfolk charity MensCraft, which supports men's health and wellbeing with various activities.
This new collaboration has been made possible by a £95,000 grant from Norfolk County Council’s Norfolk Social Infrastructure Fund.
This will allow the theatre to renovate an under-used building called The Workshop.

The Workshop, which is connected to the main theatre, is in a poor state of repair, so it is an exciting opportunity to create a vibrant and accessible community space.
Tim Allard, development manager at MensCraft, said: "The renovated space will allow us to expand our reach and to support many more men and their families."
Elliott Wilshier, general manager of the theatre, said: "This will allow us to jointly develop more effective approaches to widening access and deepening participation in the arts in Norfolk.”
The Maddermarket Theatre and MensCraft are now focusing on raising the final 20pc needed for the renovation.
