After nearly two months a treacherous sinkhole north of the city centre has finally been sorted.
The sinkhole was first discovered in Mousehold Avenue on January 26, where police were alerted and Highways England cordoned off the area.
Traffic lights were erected while work was carried out to mend the perilous patch of road, which was partially blocked at the junction with Crome Road, near Silver Road.

However the sinkhole, opposite the Moueshold Avenue Hub, was fixed at the beginning of the week allowing traffic to flow freely again.

Julie Brociek-Coulton, councillor for Sewell Ward, said: "It's a relief that the hole is now fixed, mainly as the traffic lights sometimes didn't work which was proving dangerous because people had to go through the lights.
"Left any longer and it could have caused an awful accident.
"It's good to finally see that the road is now fixed and people can get access to their properties and commuters travel safely again."
