The Nelson also boasts an outdoor covered beer garden with a patio and spacious lawn which would be perfect for trade in the summer months.

The "light and spacious" private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen, ideal for a family.

The pub remains open while it searches for a new landlord.

Named after the famous war heroine, the Edith Cavell sits in the Tombland area which sees plenty of walk-in trade and tourists in the summer season.

The pub could offer a variety of trading styles with a ground-floor bar, first-floor restaurant and second-floor kitchen.

Stonegate says the new landlord would need to bring some new life to the pub while maintaining its cultural importance to carry on its legacy.
