He is used to playing on some of the biggest dance floors in the world.

But after decades of spinning records at Ibiza's renowned clubs, Pete Tong has said he'd rather swap the golden sands of the Spanish island for the green grass of Earlham Park.

The DJ made the comments ahead of his show in Norwich this summer.

He said: “Hot sand between the toes is great, but when you’re dancing, those Ibizan beaches take their toll. 

"That’s why I’ve hand-picked some of the UK’s best green spaces for my Ibiza Classics outdoor shows this year, with Norwich’s Earlham Park being a perfect spot.

“Solid turf and cool green grass give a great underfoot surface, so audiences can kick off their shoes and dance to their heart’s content.”

Pete Tong brings his Ibiza Classics show to the city on Friday, August 18, bringing the world of classical and club together through performing dancefloor anthems with the 65-piece The Essential Orchestra.
