One of the UK's oldest jewellers is to move its historic spiral staircase and add a new toilet as part of extensive refurbishment work.
Winsor Bishop in Norwich's London Street has already announced its name and 187-year-old sign will change to Prestons as part of work which began last year.
Work came after Prestons bought the store in 2021.
Now, it wants to reposition the spiral staircase located in the back left corner of the Grade II listed building, moving it to a more central position.

Plans would then see a new accessible toilet installed in the former position of the staircase, while the shop owners also hope to install a partition wall between 39 and 41 London Street to divide the shop.
Work would only see alterations to the interior of the building.
After holding a £2m sale last year, the store began the biggest alterations in its history as work aims to bring plumbing and electricity into the 21st century and see late Victorian and Edwardian furniture preserved for the future.
