A long-running Norfolk animal sanctuary has issued an urgent appeal to fund a new horsebox to transport its rescued animals.
Hillside Animal Sanctuary is located along Hall Lane in Frettenham, to the north of Norwich, and it was started by Wendy Valentine in 1995.
It is now home to 2,500 horses, ponies and donkeys, 750 cows, 800 sheep and goats, 300 pigs and much more.

The sanctuary is appealing for donations to help buy a new horsebox after one of their three lorries was deemed unroadworthy.
In the appeal on Facebook, Hillside Animal Sanctuary wrote: "The time is fast approaching for our horses, ponies, donkeys, cows and sheep to go to their grazing fields for the summer.

"Transporting hundreds of animals out to grass is a mammoth undertaking for which we rely heavily on our horseboxes to complete the task as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible.
It continued: "We are now in desperate need of a replacement lorry. The sooner, weather permitting, we can turn the animals out to eat the spring grass, the sooner we can start reducing our mounting winter feed bills."
